The Settings page covers everything that applies site-wide rather than to one specific page or post. It's organised into groups:
- Identity: site name, tagline, contact email.
- SEO & Open Graph: meta description and social share image used as a fallback wherever a page or post doesn't set its own, plus
robots.txt, edited directly and served at/robots.txt. - Social Links: the icons in your footer.
- Theme: design style, colours, fonts and site-wide custom CSS. See Themes & Design Styles.
- Analytics & Tracking: your Google Tag Manager container, plus custom script blocks.
- Modules: switch Gigs, Projects, Blog and Documentation on or off.
- Form Protection: see Stopping Form Spam.
- Email: notification sender name, subject prefix, and the visitor autoresponder.
- Privacy: see Privacy & Usage Data.
Analytics
Connect Google Tag Manager by container ID and page views and form submissions flow through it automatically, with no code to paste in.
For anything else, three script boxes let you inject your own code into the page head, immediately after the opening body tag, or in the footer. That's where a third-party chat widget, a heatmap tool or a pixel goes. Everything runs in the visitor's browser, so a broken snippet affects your public pages. Add one thing at a time and check the site afterwards.
SEO defaults vs. per-page fields
Settings here are fallbacks. A page, post, gig, project or documentation article that sets its own meta title, description or share image always wins. The site-wide values only fill the gaps.
